Architectural Description

The architecture of the center is a harmonious blend of modern minimalism and vernacular influences, creating an environment that is both functional and aesthetically engaging.

The structure employs a combination of exposed brickwork, white plastered walls, and perforated brick screens (jali), embodying a balance between tradition and contemporary design. The brick jali façade serves a dual purpose—enhancing natural ventilation and introducing dynamic light and shadow patterns, ensuring a comfortable and energy-efficient interior.

Geometric simplicity defines the form, with clean lines and contrasting elements that highlight key architectural features. The integration of yellow-painted details around the windows and gates adds vibrancy to the design, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

1. Overall Architectural Expression

The building merges contemporary industrial aesthetics with organic design principles.

The contrast between sharp edges and soft curves, coupled with earthy tones and modern materials, makes this a landmark structure.

The play of light and shadow, along with perforated elements, ensures a lively interaction with natural elements.

2. Functional & Visually Appealing Entrance

The main entrance gate is designed with horizontal and vertical metal slats, creating a semi-open effect.

This allows for visibility and security while maintaining a modern, sleek appearance.

A combination of brick walls and perforated concrete panels adds depth and texture to the boundary.

3. Material Palette – A Blend of Warm and Modern Textures

The walls feature exposed brick, textured concrete, and smooth plastered surfaces.

The earthy terracotta tone of the cylindrical volume brings a natural warmth, grounding the structure.

White, grey, and yellow accents highlight functional elements such as door frames, signage, and boundary walls.

4.  Curvilinear and Geometric Contrast

The main building volume incorporates curved and flowing forms, which contrast with the sharp angularity of the roof.

The wavy parapet design adds rhythm to the facade and provides a sense of movement.

This organic approach softens the bold, geometric lines, creating a harmonious architectural composition.

5. Roof Design – A Bold, Sculptural Element

The roof is asymmetrical and sharply angled, creating a visually dynamic and futuristic appeal.

It extends outward, forming a dramatic overhang, which not only enhances aesthetics but also provides shade and weather protection.

Supported by sleek vertical columns, the floating roof effect adds lightness to the overall structure.

6. Signage & Wayfinding

Clearly labeled zones for a Meeting Room, Display Center, and Admin Office ensure easy navigation.

The Common Facilitation Centre branding is prominently displayed on the front wall, integrating identity with design.

Spatial Experience - The curved parapet suggests a fluid, open-plan interior layout. The perforated metal rods and louvers create a visual connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The open-to-sky elements near the staircase may allow for a double-height volume, enhancing spatial openness.

Natural Light & Ventilation -  The large openings, vertical slats, and perforated facade elements ensure ample daylight and airflow inside.  The staggered, semi-open sections suggest an interplay of light and shadow, creating a comfortable and energy-efficient indoor environment.

Materiality & Warmth Inside - The exterior terracotta and concrete palette likely translates into textured interior walls, combining raw finishes with warm accents. The yellow window frames hint at a possible color-coordinated interior with accent features in furniture or wall details.

Feature Table: A sculptural wooden and glass table serves as a signature piece in the center. The curved wooden base introduces fluidity and organic form, contrasting with the otherwise geometric space. The glass top keeps it visually lightweight, maintaining an open and uncluttered feel.

Functional & Aesthetic Considerations: The design promotes a balance of display, movement, and interaction. The color palette is chosen to be soft and neutral, allowing textiles and exhibits to take center stage. The seating and engagement area around the feature table suggests interactive discussions, design evaluations, or client meetings.

Textile Display System: Mounted fabric panels showcase intricate patterns and textures, emphasizing the craftsmanship aspect of the space. Adjacent wooden shelving with hanging rods organizes additional fabric samples in a systematic yet aesthetic manner, enhancing functionality and accessibility.

The interior design: of this hall effectively merges functionality, aesthetics, and cultural representation. It provides a refined yet inviting environment that enhances the experience of both visitors and artisans. The use of light, texture, and form creates a space that is modern yet rooted in craftsmanship
