Breaking away from conventional public building designs, the center embraces an organic, fluid form that harmonizes with its natural surroundings. Elevated above a nala, it integrates contoured landscaping and an open-air amphitheater, creating an inviting and interactive environment.  The building's facade features flowing louvers in blue and yellow hues, ensuring natural ventilation while adding a playful visual identity.

Architectural Description

The Tourist Facilitation Centre in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, is an architectural landmark designed to create a welcoming and engaging space for visitors. The building’s signature facade features a fluid, wave-like form composed of vertical fins, blending aesthetic appeal with functional benefits such as shading and ventilation.

 

This is an architectural statement that merges form, function, and environmental consciousness. The fluidity of the facade, coupled with its gradient tones and passive cooling strategies, ensures that the building stands as a landmark for visitors while respecting the natural and cultural context of the region.

1. Dynamic Facade Design

  • The defining feature of the building is its undulating screen, made up of vertically arranged aluminum or metal fins.
  • These fins are arranged in a parametric pattern to create a flowing, organic form that reflects movement and nature.
  • A gradient color transition—from warm yellows to cool blues—evokes a sense of harmony with the natural surroundings of Chitrakoot.
